Let’s Ride!

MTB Courses

Whether you're brand new to the trails or ready to level up your skills, these courses are designed to help you ride with more confidence, flow, and fun.

From first berms and rollable drops to building trust in yourself on steeper terrain, you’ll learn in a supportive, no-pressure environment, at your own pace, with expert guidance.

Let’s build skills that stick, and have a good laugh along the way.

The Golfie has earned its reputation as one of the most iconic and intimidating mountain bike spots in the UK. Tucked into the Tweed Valley, its steep, hand-built trails are fast, technical, and packed with character.

I still remember the first time I rode there. The reputation alone made me nervous, and it took me months to even commit to going. When I finally did, I probably walked 90 percent of the first trail. But once the nerves settled, the buzz was like nothing I’d ever felt. The flow, the challenge, the sheer joy of making it down is something I’ll never forget.

Now, I can’t wait for you to experience that feeling too.

This course is about building the confidence, skill, and mindset to ride the Golfie with control and enjoyment. If you’ve ever looked at those trails and thought, “Could I really ride that?” the answer is yes. And I’ll help you get there.

So you Wanna ride the golfie?

  • You’ve been riding for a while. You’re confident on red trails, can handle some tech, and you love a challenge—but when things get steeper, rougher, or more unpredictable, your confidence takes a hit. You find yourself just surviving the descent, not really knowing how you got down.

This course is for riders who want to move from “managing” to owning more technical terrain. You’re not a beginner, you’ve built a solid base, but now you’re ready for that next step.

If you’ve been eyeing up the trails at the Golfie but keep telling yourself ‘maybe one day’. This is your invitation. That day is coming, and you don’t have to do it alone.

  • Don’t worry, I won’t be chucking you in the deep end. There’s plenty of time between sessions so you can ride, reflect, and build confidence at your own pace

    Session 1: Setting the Foundations

We’re starting strong. In this first session, we’ll break down the key foundations that set you up for success on technical terrain, body position, braking, movement, line choice, and flow.

You’ll get clear on what’s working, what’s holding you back, and exactly how to level up. This is where the confidence begins.

Session 2: Rooty, Rocky, and Ready

Don’t worry, I won’t be chucking you in the deep end. There’s plenty of time between sessions so you can ride, reflect, and build confidence at your own pace.

In our second session, we’ll step things up and start exploring the more technical side of trail riding—think roots, rocks, line choice, and staying smooth when things get rough.
You’ll learn how to stay in control, even when the trail gets a little wild.

Session 3: Bringing in the Gradient

Now we add a bit of spice. This session is all about building your toolkit for steeper terrain.
We’ll work on braking, body movement, and timing so that when things point downward, you feel prepared, not panicked.

This is where everything starts to click, and where your belief in yourself really starts to grow.
